Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon and officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia. It lies in the Indian Ocean, southwest of the Bay of Bengal, separated from the Indian peninsula by the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait.



Day 1 - Wednesday - 10 April 2024

Departure from Doha & Welcome to Colombo

Welcome to Colombo, the pearl of the Indian Ocean! In keeping with Sri Lankan tradition, all of us here will like to extend to you our heartiest “Ayubowan!” (traditional Sri Lankan greeting wishing long life to the other). Our team will escort the group to their vehicle. Proceed to your hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel group will check-in to their respective rooms.


Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Approx. 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo - Kandy road is Pinnawala, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now; including Baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the 23 baby elephants born as a result of the captive breeding program.


The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs. and 1330-1400 hrs. and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs. and 1400-1430 hrs. when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.


Later proceed to Kandy and check-in to the hotel.

Day 2 - Thursday - 11 April 2024

Full day trip of Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, we shall proceed for Kandy Tour.


Peradeniya Botanical Garden - Peradeniya - 147 acres in extent; Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists.


Kandy City - The hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping Buddhist traditions alive are everywhere.


The Kandy Cultural Dance Show – This is a stimulating Sri Lankan Arts, Dance and Cultural Heritage Show that is a must see for any visitor who visits the historic city of Kandy. It is the first Cultural Dance Show of its kind to be established in Sri Lanka. It has since become a tourist attraction for many people visiting the country and keen on a glimpse of its rich cultural heritage.

Day 3 - Friday - 12 April 2024

Kandy - Kitulgala - Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel today we shall drive to Colombo via Kitulgala for White Water Rafting.


The experience of White-Water Rafting on the picturesque Kelani River. The distance covered is around 5 KMs and duration of White-Water Rafting experience would be approximately 1 – 2 hrs (subject to Kelani River water speed)


Later proceed to Colombo and check into the hotel.

Day 4 - Saturday - 13 April 2024

Colombo City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel today we shall commence our city tour.


Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries, is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old-world charm is retained with several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) - an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China and the old parliament. Also visit Dutch-Portuguese Fort area, Mosques, Temple, Churches, The Independence Square and The National Museum.

Day 5 - Sunday - 14 April 2024

Departure Day

As all good things must come to an end, your guide will comfortably take you to the international airport in time for your return flight.

Hotel Room Occupancy

  • Maximum occupancy in a room is 3. It can be 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child. Maximum 1 infant (0 - 2 yrs) can be added to the same room.
  • Interconnecting rooms/adjacent rooms are subject to availability.


  • Breakfasts are a pre-set menu. A la carte is not possible.
