Detailed Itinerary for Tanzania Wildlife Safari and Cultural Experience

DAY 01: ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be warmly greeted by your driver guide, after short introduction you will be offered bottles of mineral water followed by a private transfer to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight. Depending on your arrival time, you will have good opportunity to explore the hotel`s surroundings.

DAY 02: ARUSHA TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK FOR GAME DRIVES AND WALKING SAFARI

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver-guide, with his safari vehicle on the ground, will pick you up and take you to Arusha National Park for an exciting day of game drives and a guided walking safari. Arusha National Park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, open savannahs, and the picturesque Momella Lakes, as well as breathtaking views of Mount Meru. Your game drives may reveal giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and warthogs, along with a variety of bird species. The park is also home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, which are often spotted in the forested areas.

At midday, your driver-guide will serve you lunchboxes at a scenic picnic site, where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Afterward, you’ll embark on a guided walking safari, an unforgettable experience that allows you to explore the park on foot and get closer to its flora and fauna. With an armed ranger leading the way, you may spot wildlife such as antelopes, baboons, and even buffaloes while learning about the park’s ecosystems. Later, after a memorable day of exploration, you will exit the park and drive to the Lodge/Hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK FOR GAME DRIVES

After breakfast at your lodge, you will embark to Tarangire national park for game drives and game viewings. Tarangire is Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are also an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Your game drives may reveal lions, giraffes, wildebeest, elephants, Zebras, wildebeests and much more. Lunchboxes shall be served to you by your driver guide at the picnic site inside the park with some rest before proceeding with game drives. Later after amazing hours of exploration, you will exit the park and drive to Karatu for dinner, and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 04: EXPLORE THE MAASAI CULTURE ON YOUR WAY TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After a hearty breakfast at our lodge, we embark on a scenic drive towards the Serengeti, making a stop at a stunning viewpoint overlooking the majestic Ngorongoro Crater. From this vantage point, we take in the awe-inspiring panorama before continuing our journey. As we proceed, we have the privilege of delving into the vibrant Maasai culture during a captivating cultural tour in a nearby Maasai village. Engaging with the Maasai people, witnessing their traditional dances, exploring their bomas, and connecting with their artisans will leave us with a deeper appreciation for their rich heritage. With our hearts and minds enriched by this immersive cultural experience, we eagerly continue our adventure towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, where incredible wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes await. DAY 05-06: FULL DAY OF GAME DRIVES IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. Your guide will discuss with you the best timing for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, you may opt to do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunches. The Serengeti Park derived its name from Maasai Language meaning endless plain. This massive plain (14763sq km) is home to many animals including Lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra, Leopard, and Cheetah, baboon, warthogs, Hyena plus lots of bird life. In many cases migration is taking place around Serengeti and at that particular time millions of wildebeest and zebra are mingling together followed by predators. DAY 07: GAME DRIVES INSIDE NGORONGORO CRATER TO KARATU

Early in morning and after breakfast, leave the camp or lodge with your packed lunches ready for another exciting day. Today your expert safari guide will lead you into the Ngorongoro crater for a wonderful game drives. The Ngoro Ngoro crater is the 8th wonder of the Natural World, spreading over 102 sq. miles and has 2.000 ft high walls, making it virtually a Noah's ark like, it is inhabited by almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa including the rare and endangered black rhinos, other animals that can be revealed on your game drives are Elands, Lions, Waterbucks, Wildebeests, Hyenas, jackals, African Elephants, Buffaloes, Secretive leopards, Cheetahs, hippos and many more alongside hundreds of bird species eg. Maasai Ostrich, Kori bustard, Ibis, Starlings etc. Lunchboxes shall be served to you at the picnic point inside the crater. DAY 08: EXPLORE THE HADZABE TRIBE IN LAKE EYASI THEN DRIVE BACK TO ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive to the Lake Eyasi region, home to the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania. Upon arrival, you’ll join the Hadzabe in their daily activities, such as hunting with handmade bows and arrows, gathering wild fruits, or learning about their traditional ways of life and unique click-language. This immersive experience offers a rare insight into their culture and survival techniques. After an enriching visit, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch before beginning the scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Accommodation on half board bases
