Zimbabwe Tours Day 1 – Hwange National Park

Upon arriving at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Iconic Expeditions representative. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic road transfer of approximately 3.5 hours to your first destination, Hwange National Park. Your stay will be at the renowned Hide Camp, one of the park’s most celebrated lodges. After check-in and settling into your accommodation, you can choose to join an afternoon or night safari or simply unwind at the camp to relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Zimbabwe Tours Day 2 & 3 – Hwange National Park

Your second and third days will be dedicated to exploring the wonders of Hwange National Park. Choose from a variety of activities, including morning, sunset, and night safaris, or immense yourself in the wilderness with guided bush walks. As Zimbabwe’s largest national park, Hwange is renowned for its incredible biodiversity. It is famously home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, earning its nickname “the land of giants.” In addition to these majestic herds, you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, and over 100 other mammal species. The park is also one of the few places where the endangered African wild dog can be seen regularly.

Zimbabwe Tours Day 4 – Victoria Falls – Zambezi Sunset Cruise

After breakfast and check-out, we will begin our journey to the majestic Victoria Falls. Once you’ve checked into your new accommodation, Insika Lodge, and had some time to relax, your driver will pick you up for a scenic sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. During the cruise, you’ll have the opportunity to spot hippos, elephants, and crocodiles in their natural habitat, all while enjoying the breathtaking views. With a bar on each deck and attentive staff, you’ll never have to wait for a drink. Throughout the cruise, the staff will also serve you a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres.

Zimbabwe Tours Day 5 – Victoria Falls – Guided Tour, Helicopter Ride & Boma Dinner

One of the original natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourism attraction. Known locally as “The Smoke that Thunders” this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe, and it is an ideal place to combine game viewing and water sports.

Your day will start with a guided tour on foot of the Zimbabwean side of the falls. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell, the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. Afterwards, you will be taken to the helipad for your Flight of Angels. The flight lasts for around 12/13 minutes, and you will be able to admire the Falls from every possible angle.

We will finish the day by going to the famous Boma dinner and traditional Zimbabwean drum show. It truly is an amazing experience that no one should miss!

Zimbabwe Tours Day 6 – Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park & White Rhino Encounter

An open-game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is a must-do experience during your getaway. Located just above Victoria Falls, between the Zambezi River and Livingstone town, the park is home to a variety of animal and bird species. With 12 kilometers of scenic Zambezi riverfront, the park offers excellent opportunities for photographing hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

For those seeking ‘Big 5’ sightings, buffalo and elephants are commonly seen in the park, and there’s also a great chance of encountering the rare white rhino. The rhinos are carefully protected by dedicated rangers, who accompany visitors on foot, offering a unique and up-close view of these magnificent animals in their natural habitat – an extraordinary privilege.

Zimbabwe Tours Day 7 – Victoria Falls International Airport

Unfortunately, it’s time to say farewell. After breakfast and check-out, your driver will transfer you to Victoria Falls International Airport for your scheduled flight.
