Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome Reykjavik.

Welcome to Reykjavik - capital city of Iceland. On arrival, proceed to your hotel on your own and check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to experience the pulse of this city on your own.

Note: The standard check-in time is 1500 hrs. Packed dinner will be provided in case of late arrivals of flight or long queue at the immigration.

Day 2 - Reykjavik Guided City Tour. Fly over Iceland.

Proceed on a guided city tour of Reykjavik. See the old town center, the Parliament, the Cathedral, the harbor, the Pearland Hofoi house, the folk museum and the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church. Later proceed to enjoy Fly Over Iceland, Reykjavik’s newest attraction which utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents complete this unforgettable experience.

Day 3 - Glanni Waterfall - Orientation Tour of Akureyri.

Today, we take you to Glanni Waterfalls - a waterfall in Norðurá river in Norðurárdal close to the university Bifröst. The waterfall is rather small and the color of the water is this white milky color. Later we will drive to Akureyri, upon arrival to proceed on an Orientation tour of Akureyri.

Day 4 - Diamond Circle Tour (Godafoss, Myvatn area, Namaskard).

Today we will drive towards Lake Myvatn. En route, we will visit the Godafoss falls. Nicknamed the “Waterfall of the Gods”, some believe that the name comes from the fact that the waterfall is godlike in beauty. We continue our journey to Lake Myvatn. Next, we explore the Namaskard pass to see a hot boiling Mud pool. Later, go back to Akureyri.

Day 5 - Forest Lagoon. Drive to Borgarnes.

Today, we proceed to Forest Lagoon. During the visit to the Forest Lagoon guests will experience the view, the tranquility and the energy, the forest that surrounds the baths. Later we drive to Borgarnes.

Day 6 - Into the Glacier Cave Tour - Hraunfossar/Barnafoss - Hot Springs.

Today, we proceed to the Langjokull Glacier. Here, experience Iceland’s second-largest glacier from the inside and enjoy the rare sight of blue ice at the heart of an ice-capped glacier. Upon arrival, board a specially built glacier truck for the drive up to the cave entrance. Next, head inside the man-made Langjokull Glacier Tunnel which is a wonder to behold.

Day 7 - Seljalandsfoss - Skogafoss - Black Sand Beach.

Today, we will check out and proceed to visit the famous waterfalls - Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Seljalandsfoss cascades over steep cliffs, which make it possible for people to walk behind the waterfall, offering a spectacular view of the waterfall itself and the surroundings. Skogafoss stands at 60 meters tall. Today, also see the Eyjafjallajokull Volcano - one of the most famous in Iceland. We continue our journey to Sólheimasandur, Black Sand Beach - these popular attractions are a must see on your Iceland south coast adventure. Next, drive to Vik.

Day 8 - Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon (Amphibian Boat Ride) - Diamond Beach

Today, proceed to Skaftafell National Park and visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon - a stunning sight of blue & green water full of blue, white and turquoise icebergs streaked with black volcanic ash. This has been used as a backdrop in many films like A View to a Kill, Die Another Day, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Batman Begins and Game of Thrones, to name a few. Enjoy a boat tour among the icebergs on Glacier Lagoon. Later, visit the magical Diamond Beach - transport yourself to a new world as you walk between diamond-shaped ice drifted ashore from Breidamerkurjokull Glacier. Next, we see the Eldhraun lava fields - created in one of the greatest eruptions in recorded history and is of the largest of its kind in the world.

Day 9 - Golden Circle Tour (Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss) with Tomato Farm

Today, we check out and proceed to the Golden Circle Tour which allows you to visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sights. We will drive to the UNESCO world heritage site - Thingvellir National Park. It is the visible site of the mid-Atlantic Ridge where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Next, we see the waterfall Gullfoss which is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland and rightly so. The three-step waterfall is a part of the glacial river Hvita and falls into a 62-meter deep canyon. Later, visit the Geyser geothermal and see the active Strokkur Geyser, which shoots up a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every few minutes.

Later, we will visit the Fridheimar greenhouse cultivation center which is one of Iceland’s biggest greenhouses. Tomato Farm is Greenhouse farming using geothermal energy along with a tasting of the world’s most unique Tomato Ice Cream. In the evening we take you on an excursion to view the Northern Lights. Iceland is renowned for its otherworldly illuminations, the Northern Lights being one remarkable example (although we will do our best to ensure that you view the Northern Lights, it is a natural phenomenon is not guaranteed. The days of the Northern Lights tour could also change based on the probability of viewing the lights).

Day 10 - Return back with pleasant memories

Proceed to the airport on your own for your flight back home. Do spare a few minutes to share your feedback with your Tour Manager. Your valued suggestions will be most appreciated. Arrive home with pleasant memories of your European tour, which we are sure you will treasure for a lifetime. (B)

  • Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in all land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure.
  • Tipping is expected from anyone providing you service, e.g. Coach Driver, Local Guides etc. It is mandatory to tip a nominal amount of 3 euros per person per day. For the entire duration of this tour which is 10 days, the total tip amount is 30 euros per person to be paid to the tour manager on day 1 of the tour.
