South Africa & Victoria Falls - 14 DAYS TRIP

Are you ready to see not one, but TWO World Wonders of Nature + many more unforgettable sights? So are we! See you in South Africa!

Itinerary

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG

Upon your arrival to OR Tambo International Airport there will be a driver to meet and greet you. Afterwards he will drop you off at your desired accommodation. You will have the remainder of the day free to rest after a long flight and to get yourself prepared for your 2 week exploration of Johannesburg, Victoria Falls, Kruger National Park and the mother city - Cape Town.

DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG - LESEDI CULTURAL VILLAGE

A bit after breakfast the driver will come to pick you up for your tour of Lesedi Cultural Village. On arrival, visitors are welcomed at the Ndebele Village by representatives of the tribes that dwell at Lesedi.

The tour begins with a multi-sensory presentation of the origins of South Africa’s indigenous inhabitants, followed by a guided walk through the myriad tribal homesteads located in the Lesedi Cultural Village. The Lesedi Cultural Tour culminates in a not-to-be-missed dance extravaganza. Held in the Boma, ancestral folklore and rituals are brought to life in spectacular fashion. This “Ingoma”, told through choreographed movement, beating drums and song is thrilling history story-telling at its best.

DAY 3: VICTORIA FALLS

Following your breakfast and check out the driver will come to drive you to the airport. There you will take one of the daily scheduled flights to Victoria Falls Airport. Upon arrival in Zimbabwe your new driver will come to drive you to the accommodation of your choice. After your check in, you will have some free time to freshen up and relax before your sunset cruise on Zambezi river. There you can enjoy the scenery and the wildlife of the Zambezi in the lap of luxury. Relax on one of the sofas or comfortable chairs as the Sun sets on one of the most beautiful and picturesque rivers in the world. Sightings of hippo, elephant and crocodiles are common on the river. With a bar on each deck and attentive waiting staff you will never have to wait for a drink. Staff will also serve you a selection of delicious hor d’oeuvres throughout the cruise.

DAY 4: VICTORIA FALLS - GUIDED TOUR, HELICOPTER RIDE & BOMA DINNER

Today we have a full day planned! After breakfast we will start with a guided tour on foot of the Zimbabwean side of the Falls. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell, the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict reality and nothing prepares you for your first sight. After you finished admiring one of the Seven World Wonders of

Nature you will be taken to the helipad for your Flight of Angels. Flight lasts for around 12/13 minutes and you will be able to admire the Falls from every possible angle. Following the flight, the driver will take you to the accommodation to rest and then in the afternoon the guide will come to collect you again and take you to a famous traditional Boma dinner and traditional Zimbabwean drum show. It truly is an amazing experience that no one should miss!

DAY 5: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, the driver will come to collect you from your accommodation to take you back to Victoria Falls Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to Zimbabwe and say hello again to South Africa. You will take a scheduled flight directly to Kruger National Park where there will be another driver waiting for you to take you to your accommodation. After you have checked in you can decide if you would like to join the other guests for an afternoon game drive in the park or you would like to stay in the lodge and rest.

DAY 6: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Today is all about the animals! Today you will spend the whole day exploring Kruger National Park - the largest park in South Africa and one of the largest parks in all of Africa. Due to its popularity, Kruger Park sees more than 1 million visitors every year. Its massive size equals that of a small country and it is home to an enormous variety of creatures great and small, with healthy populations of all the Big Five. The largest resident in the reserve is the African elephant, with some with the longest tusks you will see in South Africa. The dwarf butterfly is one of the smallest species and with a wingspan of only half an inch, it is the smallest butterfly in the world.

DAY 7: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Just like yesterday, today is all about exploring the rest of the Park. The Kruger Park also safeguards the world’s largest population of rhinos and supports around 2000 lions, representing one of the largest populations in Africa. Primarily nocturnal leopards are found throughout the reserve and although they are essentially ground dwelling, they do readily climb trees to escape danger and store their kills safely out of reach of other predators, so don’t forget to scan the trees. Buffalo numbers exceed 20000 and they won’t be

difficult to spot. Your safari will include a stop at one of the rest camps in the reserve where you will have a chance to stretch your legs and refresh before continuing your search for African wildlife.

DAY 8: PANORAMA ROUTE

Make your way towards the Blyde River Canyon and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. This seemingly endless river canyon is filled with some of the most beautifully scenic vistas in South Africa. The Bourke’s Luck Potholes mark the beginning of the canyon and comprise intriguing geological formations at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur rivers. The canyon itself is 3rd largest in the world, covered in lush subtropical vegetation with an average depth of 750 meters and 25 kilometers in length. It consists mostly of red sandstone and has some of the deepest precipitous cliffs of any canyon on the planet.

DAY 9: CAPE TOWN

Today as we embark to a flight to Cape Town we say goodbye to the Kruger National Park and all the animals there! After landing at Cape Town International Airport the driver will take you to your hotel. We leave you a free afternoon so you can rest before the Cape Town adventure starts! If you feel like starting the exploration immediately, we suggest that you go to the Waterfront and enjoy many shops and restaurants there.

DAY 10: CAPE TOWN - CITY TOUR & TABLE MOUNTAIN

Your first day in Cape Town will start with a half day private City Tour and if weather permits, a cable car ride to one of the New Seven World Wonders of Nature - Table Mountain. Be captivated by the multiethnic character and historical wealth of the Mother City. Cape Town is a rare cultural gem, resulting from the amalgamation of different nationalities and indigenous tribes. Alongside high-rise office blocks, a harmonious blend of architectural styles has been meticulously preserved, including Edwardian, Victorian and Cape Dutch. Narrow, cobblestone streets and the Islamic character of the Bo-Kaap enhance the cosmopolitan ambiance. The itinerary takes you to the City Hall, the Castle of Good Hope, the Company’s Garden and Signal Hill with spectacular panoramas over the city, before returning to your hotel.

DAY 11: CAPE TOWN - CAPE PENINSULA

Today is the day you will see one of the most unique places in the world! Today you are going on a private Cape Peninsula tour which includes a visit to the world famous Boulders Beach. If you are wondering why this beach is famous, it is because it has penguins living on it. Yes, you read that correctly, penguins living on a beach! Besides the beloved penguins, you will also visit historically famous Cape of Good Hope, charming village of Hout Bay where if weather permits you can take a boat ride to Seal Island, famous Camps Bay beach and many more places.

DAY 12: CAPE TOWN

Day 12 of your African expedition is reserved for your free time. Whether you want to stay in the hotel or explore the city on your own, it’s entirely up to you! We will see you tomorrow for your last tour.

DAY 13: HERMANUS - WHALE WATCHING

Your last day in the Mother City is dedicated to whale watching. The driver will pick you up after your breakfast and you will embark on a 2 hour drive to a small city call Hermanus. Don’t worry, the sightings on the way there are too beautiful and they will make your drive fly by. Once you reach Hermanus, you will embark on a boat and start your expedition. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to spot both species that migrate there - Southern Right whale and Humpback whale.

DAY 14: CAPE TOWN

Our time together has come to an end and it’s time to say goodbye. Depending on the time of your flight, our driver will come to pick you up and take you to the Cape Town International Airport.
