Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Muscat – Half-Day City Tour of Muscat

Pick up at the airport. Post that your city tour will begin. Your city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, the only mosque open to non-Muslims and expatriates in Oman. After you will visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. When you leave the Museum tour you will be satisfied with the wealth of information you have learnt about the country’s structure, tradition and heritage. You will then have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. Following this you will travel along the picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships on the water at Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port. From the souq, you will arrive at the Muscat & check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel.

Day 2 – Muscat City Tour – Visit to Grand Mosque – Visit Muttrah Souq & Corniche – Photo Stops at Jilali Mirani Forts & Al Alam Palace – Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum

Day 3 – Muscat – Wadi Bani Khalid (Walking & Swimming Night) – Wahiba Desert (Sunset & Dune Bashing) – Desert

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on the journey of the golden sands of Wahiba. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. After a buffet lunch at Wadi Bani Khalid, you will continue to travel back towards Muscat. You will make a further stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra to view the watch towers which proudly overlook the villages. You will then stay in the desert for the night. Overnight stay at Desert

Day 4 – Visit Historical Nizwa City – Nizwa Fort & Souq – Al Hamra Village – Misfat Al Arbaeen – Back to Muscat

Early morning drive to the historic town of Nizwa Oman’s cultural capital to explore the famous forts. you visit the powerful Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. Later drive to Al Hamra to see one of the oldest villages of this region. The traditional mud houses dating back 400 years are still occupied. Post you will continue towards Muscat and drop by at the hotel. Overnight stay 4* Hotel.

Day 5 – Departure from Muscat
