Our Luxury Zimbabwe safari is described as “simply extraordinary.” Immerse yourself in the wonders of this remarkable destination where every day is a thrilling adventure, and every night is a dream under the African stars.

Itinerary

DAY 1: VICTORIA FALLS

One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourism attraction. Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe and it is an ideal place to combine game viewing and water sports.

After your check in, you will have some free time to freshen up and relax before your sunset cruise on Zambezi river. There you can enjoy the scenery and the wildlife of the Zambezi in the lap of luxury. Sightings of hippo, elephant and crocodiles are common on the river. With a bar on each deck and attentive waiting staff you will never have to wait for a drink. Staff will also serve you a selection of delicious hor d’oeuvres throughout the cruise.

DAY 2: VICTORIA FALLS - GUIDED TOUR, HELICOPTER RIDE & BOMA DINNER

Today we have a full day planned! After breakfast we will start with a guided tour on foot of the Zimbabwean side of the Falls. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell, the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict reality and nothing prepares you for your first sight.

After you finish admiring one of the Seven World Wonders of Nature you will be taken to the helipad for your Flight of Angels. Flight lasts for around 12/13 minutes and you will be able to admire the Falls from every possible angle.

Following the flight, the driver will take you to the accommodation to rest and then in the afternoon the guide will come to collect you again and take you to a famous traditional Boma dinner and traditional Zimbabwean drum show. It truly is an amazing experience that no one should miss!

DAY 3: LAKE KARIBA

On day 3 we say goodbye to Victoria Falls and we say hello to Lake Kariba.

Following your breakfast and check out, the driver will take you to the airport for your scheduled flight to Lake Kariba. Upon arrival a new driver will great you and take you to your hotel where you will have free time to rest and recharge for the remainder of the trip.

DAY 4 & 5: LAKE KARIBA

The planet’s most voluminous man-made lake, Kariba is a popular tourist destination that was created in the 1950s when the mighty Zambezi was dammed. It stretches for more than 200 kilometers along the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, forming a natural boundary between the two countries. The lake’s waters are home to

abundant crocodiles, hippos, fish and aquatic birds, while its shoreline and islands are rich with terrestrial game such as elephant and buffalo.

While in Lake Kariba spend your days cruising on the water or meandering the surroundings on a walking safari - discover the ancient secrets within the fossilized dinosaur footprints unique to this area. You can choose your plan and program while staying here. Activities include guided walking safaris, stargazing, boating, birding, catch-and-release fishing, day and night game drives searching for lions in particular, as well as engaging cultural visits to our nearby local community.

DAY 6: MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, the driver will come to collet you from your accommodation to take you to Bumi Hills Airfield for your scheduled charter flight to Mana Pools Airstrip.

Upon arrival, your driver will take you to your hotel located on the banks of the Zambezi river. There you will be able to enjoy the lodge and possibly see some animals while relaxing and preparing for the next day.

DAY 7 & 8: MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK

The life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions, designated as the country’s second World Heritage Site and known as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing regions. Canoe trips are offered year round and provide a unique and memorable way for visitors to experience the area’s striking scenic beauty and diverse fauna, while guided walks are a great way to take in its pristine riverside forests. Spend your days walking in the footsteps of ancient explorers and tracks of elephants that crisscross the floodplain. Watch the drama of nature play out before your eyes on game drives or thrilling canoeing safaris. Fishing on the Zambezi River (catch and release only), walking safaris, game drives, canoeing and birding safaris are highlights here. All these activities are included in your stay and led by qualified and passionate guides, keen to share their knowledge and love of the bush with you.
