Itinerary

Day 1 - Airport - Pinnawala - Kandy

Upon arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our representatives who will accompany you to Kandy. En route, a visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage will be arranged for you to explore the orphanage. (Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage Entrance Ticket: 15 USD per person)

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE

Off the Colombo - Kandy road is Pinnawala, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now; including Baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as some of the more than 25 babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme. The best time to visit is the feeding times and the bathing times when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.

Following that, you will head to Kandy to spend your initial night in Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, check into the hotel to unwind and reflect on the day's events. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to witness a captivating performance of Kandyan Dancing at YMBA. (Entrance Ticket 05 USD per person)

Day 2 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Following breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore the renowned Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden today. (Royal Botanical Garden Entrance Ticket: 10 USD per person)

Peradeniya is one of the best botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, and one of the most beautiful in Asia. It is located just 6 km from Kandy, the second largest city in Sri Lanka. The botanical gardens are huge & well-organized gardens, It is renowned for the collection of the variety of Orchids, and has more than 300 varieties of Orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palms attached to it is the National Herbarium. Total landmass of  the botanical garden is 147 acres; it is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture. The origins of the Botanic Gardens date as far back. The Classical Avenue of Palms is located in this Garden. One tree with a significant history is the Cannon ball.

After finishing, you will embark on a journey to the hill country of Sri Lanka, specifically Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore the magnificent Ramboda Waterfall and the picturesque tea plantations.

RAMBODA WATERFALL

Ramboda Falls is located in Kandy's Pussellawa region. This area is famous for its stunning landscapes of highlands, ridges and plains, streams, hills, and mountains. Ramboda Falls is the most popular attraction.

Ramboda, at 358 feet high, is Sri Lanka's 11th highest waterfall. The cool winds blow constantly and the steps of the rock fall like ivory cascades, creating a stunning scene against the blue sky. The climb uphill is only 2 km and can be done by anyone. Ramboda Falls ticks all the boxes for tourists in terms of its vivid landscapes, cozy climate and ability to keep them on their feet.

Upon reaching Nuwara Eliya, proceed with checking in at the hotel to unwind and enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

You can reach Nuwara Eliya by traveling through narrow roads, lush green valleys, tea gardens on the banks and slopes of the hills, and passing tiny streams and waterfalls. The unique climate is often covered by mist in the mornings. It also has a cold air that is tangy and fresh. Nuwara Eliya is located among the most beautiful tea estates. It also boasts the Race Course, Horses, Rose Gardens, and British-style Houses. This makes it a wonderful vacation getaway, providing a level of perfection that is unmatched.

Day 3 - Full Day Leisure at Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, today the entire day will be kept at leisure by the hotel. If you wish you will be able to visit Victoria Park, Hakgala Botanical Garden and Gregory Lake.

VICTORIA PARK

(Entrance Ticket: 10 USD per person)

Victoria Park is located in Nuwara Eliya's heart. This park is ideal for family outings, where tourists can see exotic birds and rare flowering plants. There is also a children's playground and rides that make it enjoyable for all ages. It is a great place to take beautiful photos because of the pretty flowers and serene ponds. Victoria Park is located in the middle of Nuwara Eliya. Before you can get in, you will need to pay an entry fee. This is a great place to take a walk or picnic.

HAKGALA BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Hakgala Botanical Garden, Sri Lanka's second-largest, is one of the most famous and well-known botanical gardens. It was founded by Dr G.H.K. Thwaites was responsible for the experimentation with Cinchona growth. Each section of the garden is home to a different species. It is home to a remarkable biodiversity with exotic animals and birds coexisting with rare plants. The garden's average temperature is between 16 and 30 degrees Celsius, which makes it moderately hot or cold throughout the year.

GREGORY LAKE

(Entrance Ticket: 10 USD per person)

Lake Gregory is a local reservoir located in Nuwara Eliya. Tourists love to visit the lake and take part in some of its recreational activities. The British era saw Sir William Gregory as the name of the lake in 1873. You can hire boats to explore the lake. The lake is a great spot for picnicking. Tourists can also hire bicycles to explore the lake. This lake is best visited in April.

Day 4 - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Yala

Following this morning, we will enjoy a splendid train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, showcasing breathtaking scenery along the way. Your driver will head to the Ella railway station beforehand and will be ready to greet you upon your arrival. (Train Ticket – 30 USD per person)

Upon an exhilarating train journey to Ella, you will have the opportunity to discover the enchanting beauty of this destination, which encompasses the magnificent Nine Arch Bridge and the captivating Ravana Waterfall.

NINE ARCH BRIDGE

The best train tours to Sri Lanka's highlands are rated among the top.The Nine Arch Bridge is just one reason. One of the most impressive engineering feats of the 20th century is the Nine Arch Bridge connecting Ella and Demodara stations.

The bridge is nearly 100 years old and was built using blocks of cement and stone without concrete or strengthening iron. The bridge links to the mountains via giant arches. The British Government commissioned the construction of the Bridge in 1921.

RAVANA WATERFALL

Ravana Falls is another place you must see in Ella. Ravana Falls, located in the hill country of Sri Lanka, is a popular spot for stunning waterfalls. You can climb over rocks to see the falls from a closer perspective. Ella is the perfect place for you if you love water. Swimming is possible, but it's best to stay safe because the rocks can be slippery.

It is currently ranked as the largest waterfall in the country. The waterfall is approximately 25m high (82 feet) and flows from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. The waterfall appears to be an areca flower with withering leaves during the local wet season. This is not true in dry seasons, when the water flow drops dramatically.

Then you will continue your journey to Yala to take an amazing wildlife safari at Yala National Park the next morning.

Day 5 - Yala National Park Safari - Bentota

Depart early in the morning to embark on a journey into Yala National Park to discover the wildlife within. Enjoy a packed breakfast and lunch while on the safari. (Safari cost: 75 USD per person Safari Jeep + Entrance Ticket)

Sri Lanka is proud of its natural resources. It is home to some of the most unique wildlife in the world. The Yala National Park is one of the most visited wildlife sanctuaries on the island. It is also Sri Lanka's second-largest national park.

This amazing national park is a symbol of pride for the country. Many efforts have been made to preserve its wildlife. It is home to majestic leopards and tusker elephants. This park offers the best wildlife and nature experiences. There are many birds that seem to be flying freely through the parks, particularly aquatic birds.

The Yala National Park covers 979 km2 and is located 300 km from Colombo. It is located in the Southern Province of Uva Province. Yala hosts a variety of ecosystems, including freshwater, marine wetlands, and monsoon forest forests. There are 215 species of birds here and 44 mammals. It also has one of the highest levels of leopard density on the planet. This national park in Sri Lanka is home to a wide range of animals, including reptiles and amphibians as well as fish and vertebrates.

Upon finishing, you will proceed to Bentota where you will check into the hotel to unwind and enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

Bentota beach is the perfect spot for water sports lovers who love to dive and glide across the waves. Oct-April is the best month to enjoy water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing and wind-surfing. The waves are also more calm and safer to swim in. If the currents are too strong, red flags may be raised. There is no need to be concerned if you don't have the equipment necessary to enjoy a joyous swim in the deep blue water. Nearby shops can sell accessories and equipment for snorkeling or scuba diving. You can also get assistance from certified professionals to equip gear and dive. Bentota is the place divers long for. Canoe Rock is the main destination for divers. Tourists and locals alike go in two ways. The first is by boat, where you travel along the blue waters and dive off the boat to explore and enjoy the radiant colors of corals. Option two is where locals and tourists swim to the depths from shore. Jet Skiing and speed are your favorites. You can also waterski and Jet ski at the lagoon. River Bentara, a famous river from Bentota that connects to the Indian Ocean, forms the lagoon.

Day 6 - Relax at Bentota

Have a pleasant breakfast, then spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach, engaging in any activities you may wish to dedicate your time to.

MADU RIVER BOAT SAFARI

(Boat ride 20 USD per person)

Madu Ganga, located at Balapitiya in Sri Lanka, is the second largest wetland. The river is rich in biodiversity and covers 150 acres. It also contains 14 mangroves, one of the 24 mangrove species in Sri Lanka. Madu Ganga is one of the few remaining mangrove forests. This is where you can see traditional fishing techniques and prawn farming. It also houses 300 species of plants, and approximately 250 wildlife species. This makes it an ideal place for ecologists and botanists.

KOSGODA TURTLE HATCHERY

(Entrance Ticket: 10 USD per person)

Kosgoda is one of very few hatcheries in the country where all five species make their nests. These are the Olive Ridleys (Leatherbacks), Green Turtles, Loggerheads, Loggerheads, Hawksbills, Loggerheads, Loggerheads, Loggerheads, and Loggerheads. Ask our staff if you can release some of these delicate creatures into the ocean during your visit. They will start flapping their arms back when the waves hit them. They then fly into their homes, and the ocean fills your heart with joy.

Day 7 - Bentota - Colombo

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before relaxing on the beach until the afternoon. Later, depart for Colombo where you will check in to your hotel for an overnight stay and some leisure time. Optionally, you can explore the city of Colombo if you desire.

Colombo is the trade capital and has long been the traditional gateway to the orient. Today, Colombo is a fascinating city with a happy blend of east & west, past & present with a charm of its own. The main seaport of Sri Lanka is in Colombo & adjoining it, is Pettah, which is the local bazaar & trading area.  Other places of interest are the beautiful Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, the historic Wolfendhal church, the main residential area - cinnamon gardens and the BMICH - International Conference Hall and the commercial area - Fort.

Day 8 - Colombo - Airport

Upon completion of your morning meal, you will proceed to the designated location based on your departure flight. From there, you will depart from Colombo and make your way to the airport for your scheduled departure.
